Sending my new year wishes from a warm and sunny Thailand so I can't complain! The past month has been very busy for us with shows in Stockholm, Paris, Geneva and London. All really nice shows and the horses jumped good but were a bit unlucky I have to say.
The worst thing was probably having to put the lorry on the train when the boats stopped going due to bad weather when we were traveling to London. It was tight to say the least! 2011 has been a great year, both Tore and Räven has been doing great, with a lot of placings in the big classes. Unfortunatly Actrice has been out for a long time but shes back now and ready for the shows again! We have a lot of good horses in the stable now and it's gonna be really fun to see them all next year.
We hope for a great 2012 and it sure looks exciting with Sweden back in the Super League and the Olympics in London. Best wishes to all of you, see you next year!

Off to Globen
Now I'm finally finshed with packing for Globen. The horses are clipped and has got a bath and I've squeezed almost everything into the small lorry I just have a few things left to pack tomorrow. I'm taking Holliday and Arctic and Peder is riding them tomorrow morning and then I'm off all alone to Globen, Peder is flying there on thursday. I really look forward to this show, it is a special atmosphere there. It's also nice that it is near my parents home so they can come and visit me.
Last weekend the horses were warming up in Flyinge and they werw doing well, Holliday was 2nd in a 1,35 and arctic was 3rd in 1,45 and 2nd in the 1,50 Grand Prix so they seem to be in good shape. The other horses that was there was also doing well, Danny was 3rd in a 1,40 Centoo was 7th in the 6-year old final and Agge was also in the jump-off. Sibon was jumping very well but no coloured ribbons for him since Peder is not riding him against the clock yet.
Now I'm going to put my last stuff in the tumble dryer and then I'm going to bed.

Still warm weather
This morning Emelie and Rebecca left for a show in Lidköping with their horses so it's me and new girl Frida left at home. Jenny stopped working here in the end of the summer and about a month ago Frida started so now we'r a full team again!
Malin jumped Baltimore today and he looked really really good, exciting with new horses! We also went for another round in the woods with Actrice and Challe, we hack out at least once a week with all the horses and they all really like it!
In the picture it's Bengan, Uffe and Tore thats enjoying the nice weather, eight degrees today, wonderful! Sara

Show free weekend!
Still no winter in Sweden but I'm the last one to complain! This time last year we had loads off snow, hard to imagine now when the grass is still green (Actrice eating away in the picture). We went hacking out in the woods today with Räven, Cisco and Uffe and they were also happy to be out in the nice weather! This week-end we have no show so some quiet time at home before Globen next week ( there it's everything but quiet!) Sara

Clipping, clipping and some more clipping
This week we clipped almost all the horses again. They were really hairy and this time a year you can nearly see the hair growing! A really good tip when clipping a horse that doesnt like the sound is to use a padded flyhat ( in the picture Rebecca and Olle). I bought mine at a tackshop for trotters and its been working really well!
We had a good show in Sodertalje, all horses were jumping really good so it was fun to watch! Baltimore was already behaving better than last week, still crazy but at least its going in the right direction! Sara

Random pictures!
Finally managed to publish pics from my phone so here you go! From above: My stables in Madrid. Tore in s' Hertogenbosh. Lucas and best friend Pilou taking a nap in Lyon. Rolf in Oslo ( fancydress!). Warmup in Paris, impressive! Truckers dinner, not that impressive! Räven checking out his neighbour and last golden groom Celia in Madrid.
On the road
Rebecca recently took her lorrylicense so now I don't have to drive all the time. Very nice to sit in the passengers seat for once! This morning we got up early and had the horses on the walker and I lunged Bengan for a bit. Now we are on the way to the show in Södertälje so we hope for a good day and not to crazy horses! Sara

On to the next show
I've had a quiet week at home. My sister came to visit for a couple of days and we had a nice time with a lot of shopping and food! Nice to be a bit "normal" for once!
Tomorrow we are going to a show in Södertälje with Uffe, Olle, Dunder, Ture and Bengan so today we gave them all a bath and I clipped Dunder so now they are ready to go! The weather is getting colder now and you can feel that the winter is comming, not nice. Luckily I'm going to be away most of December!
Now I'm gonna pack my own stuff for the show (easy when it's only two days!) and then it's off to bed, early morning tomorrow. Sara

Hickstead
It's nice to be back home again, and after a couple of days off ( that I spent sleeping!) I'm back on track again! Yeasterday we went to a show in Linköping with Dunder, Olle, Turmalin and new horse Baltimore. All horses jumped clear and did nice rounds!
We got Baltimore (nicknamed Bengan) a couple of weeks ago, he's a seven year old stallion by Balou du Rouet. At home he has been behaving perfectly but we were told that he could be a bit of a monster at the show. He was a little bit freaky but he is more overexcited then mean so I think he is gonna be fine after a couple of shows!
On my way home I got the terrible news about Hickstead passing away at the show in Verona. I can't even imagine how it must feel for Eric and his groom Delfine. As someone wrote; we all lost a true superstar, they lost their best friend, so very sad. He is a true legend and one of these horses that everyone will remember. Sara

Lyon
Left home late monday night with Tore, Raven, Peders two horses and a lot of packing on the lorry. It makes a big difference to bring stuff for two riders but we managed to get it all in with not a centimeter to spare! After stops in Puttgarden and Liege we finally arrived at the show at one o'clock on wednesday evening. Unloaded everything and got myself organised in the stables and then went to bed for a couple of hours, even though we were two drivers it was a long drive from Helsinki so both me and Malin were exhausted to say the least.
In the morning I took Raven for a little ride, he was a bit tired after all the traveling so I didn't do to much, a bit of trotting around and then a walk outside in the sun! Took Tornesch for a spin on the lunge and he was not tired at all bucking around and he seemed very happy to be back at a show!
Then we went for a nice lunch, the food is really nice here and then I managed to take a quick nap before vet check. Malin came later in the afternoon to ride the warm up on Tore, he jumped good and looked relaxed so all good so far. Finished off both horses and then went straight to bed, finally a full nights sleep after god knows how many days without! Woke up the next day feeling like a new person (almost!), first class with Raven at nine and he was early to go so only took him for a walk before getting him ready. He jumped really nice and wasn't tired at all today! Tores class wasn't until later in the evening so Malin rode him for a bit and then there was plenty of time for lunch and a walk in the nice weather with both horses. Lyon is one of the nicest indoor shows with plenty of space in the stables and two warm up rings wich means no riding at six in the morning!
Tores class was the qualifyer for the World Cup, it was a speed and Malin did a sharp right turn to fence number three and he didn't really se it ( with his half blind eye) and ran past it, after that he got a bit stressed and knocked down two fences but he was still jumping good so no big disaster.
Saturday morning was quiet, Malin rode them both before the GP and I had time for a long breakfast! Raven jumped super once again and ended up in third place, he is really in great form now! And he seemed very happy with himself bucking around in the prizegiving! Tore had a day off today so I was finished early in the stables, nice!
On Sunday it was time for the World cup, Tore started as number six and jumped super but had a stupid timefault, a pity when he was jumping so good. There where only nine clears so Malin ended up tenth, so we at least got some points. Now I'm on my way back home again, can't wait to get back after three weeks on the road! Sara

Helsinki
Left home at lunchtime on tuesday after Malin rode the horses. To Helsinki we decided to take Raven and Undici, it's the first time that Uffe got to go to an international indoor show, exciting! I travelled together with Emma from Ahlmann again and we decided to make a stop at a place near Kapellskar for a couple of hours before catching the boat later in the evening. The trip went well and we arrived at the show on Wedneday morning. Helsinki is one of these nice shows were they help you unpack the lorry when you get there, very nice not have to drag all the stuff for once! In the afternoon I lunged both horses for a while and then took them for a handwalk. They were a bit tired after the trip but both seemed fine. Also in Helsinki you have to ride early in the morning but it was half an hour later then in Oslo so it almost feelt like having a sleep-in when the alarm went off at five! We had a really good show, Uffe jumped clear all three days and was very cool and not bothered at all with all new impressions. Raven jumped his second World Cup on Sunday and was third! He jumped fantastic and if it wasn't for a bit of drama in the jump off were Malin nearly fell off I think they would have won. Left the show in a rush and just made it to the boat back to Sweden. Was home this morning and now I'm getting ready to leave for Lyon in an hour. I'm teaming up with Peders groom so at least I don't have to drive all the way alone! This time we are taking Tore and Raven so we hope for another good show in France! Sara
Back again!
It's been a while to say the least since I last wrote but sometimes the time and motivation is just not there. Well a lot of things has happened so lets start from the beginning. As you all know the Europeans ended in the best possible way with Rolf winning the gold medal! The team result was a bit of a dissapointment since all horses jumped really good but we qualifyed for the Olympics next year wich was the main goal. From Madrid we continued on to Barcelona for the last leg of the Promotional League. Sweden had to win in order to make it to the Super League next year so the pressure was on! And after a thrilling second round Sweden came out on top before Spain and Ukrain, what a relief! We then started the long trip back home after nearly a month in Spain. On the way we stopped at Rolfs place for the Gold medal party wich was great but the last day of driving became just a little bit harder! Me and the horses were happy to be back home again and got some time off before it was time for the next big thing, World Cup in Oslo. Its not one of my favourite shows, the stables are outdoors and very cold and the only time to ride is at six o'clock in the morning so after four days of having the alarm set at 04.30 you feel a bit exhausted to say the least! The horses jumped good anyway but were a bit unlucky, Raven had one down in the jump off in the GP and Tore had one down in the World Cup. I drove straight home after the last class and was back at Jonstorp at three o'clock in the morning, put the horses in there stables and went to bed, finally some sleep! I spent Monday afternoon repacking the lorry and getting everything ready to leave for Helsinki on wednesday. My good friend Emma who works for Christian Ahlmann stayed at Lundbacks place just five minutes away so in the evening we went for a nice dinner and then I finally got a full nights sleep! Sara

Grevagården
Now I'm in the truck om the way home from Grevagården. I had Arctic, Danny, Sibon and Agge with me. Agge or Augustinus L A N which is his real name is a new 6-year old and he is really nice. All horses have been jumping good, Danny, Agge and sibon jumped two classes and were all clear in both. Arctic actually won the 1,40 the first day had two down in 1,50 yesterday and today he had one down in the 1,50. Now i'm going to sleep à little bit since peder is driving next week are going to be busy, we're off to Helsinki on tuesday with Danny and Arctic! Malin

Wednesday
What a great start for Sweden! All four horses jumped clear and looked really good! Malin was first to go in the team with Tore and did a really nice round, Tornesch looked very relaxed and was jumping super!
It was really warm today and the class started at two o'clock when it was as worst but the horses seemed to take it fine, it was more the riders that looked a bit sweaty afterwords!
Sweden is on third place after the first round with France and Germany in front of us. For the teams that needs to qualify for the Olympics Sweden is in the lead so things are looking good so far! Tomorrow morning Räven is gonna make his first apperance here in Madrid and at 14.45 it's time for the teamcompetition. Keep your fingers crossed again! Sara

European Championship - Tuesday
Today I got up at 6.30, fed the horses and then went for a lovely spanish breakfast (coffe and croisant) with the other grooms. It's really cold here in the morning, and dark so its a bit hard to wake up when its pitch black outside! I took the horses for a walk before teamvet Jonas came to see them trot. Then Malin rode them both for a bit and they both felt good! At 11.45 it was time for the swedish team to do the vet check and all horses passed. At two o'clock the warm up started, sweden was almost last to go so we didn't jump until around five but then it was at least a little bit cooler. All of the horses looked really nice and relaxed so the feeling is good for tomorrow! Now we are gonna head back to the lorrys for something to eat (unfortunatly the food is horrible here) and then it's bedtime. Tomorrow it's a big day so keep your fingers crossed for team Sweden! Sara
Madrid
My internet has not been working for a week but now I finally got it going again! We had a good week in Gijon, Sweden was third in the nations cup and Räven was third in the Grand Prix! The show ended late on monday night so we stayed at the showground on tuesday to give the horses a quiet day before leaving to Madrid. Early on wednesday morning me, Malin(Peders groom) and Rebecka(Svantes groom) left Gijon and arrived at the stables outside Madrid. It was a fantastic place with really nice stables, a huge outdoor ring and the best of all a swimmingpool for us! Caroline decided to stay a bit longer so we had a couple of nice days in the sun! Angelica joined us on Saturday morning with her two horses and Malin arrived later in the afternoon. On Sunday the rest of the team arrived for a last training before leaving to the show. We got here on monday at lunchtime after only one hours drive. The showground is really nice and we got the best stables with shade almost all the day, but the horses seem to be taking the heat really well, probably better then us! Sara

Made it to Gijon, after some more trouble...
We arrived well in Bordeaux on Sunday evening, the trip went really good since there was hardly any trafic, nice! On monday morning we were ready to leave at seven o'clock but then the lorry broke down. Luckily it broke down at the stables so we could take the horses out and put them back in there boxes again. At eleven the lorry was fixed again and off we went. We arrived in Gijon at seven, the stables are really nice and the lorrys are parked just outside so both me and the horses are happy to not move again for a week! Today I rode both the horses in the morning, they both feelt good and were really fresh! In the aftetnoon it was time for vetcheck and then me and Carro went for a nice lunch at a nearby restaurant. After spending two hours in the office to get our accreditations ( they are not very fast in Spain!) we went back to the stables and took the horses for a long walk and some grass. Unfortunatley its raining now but we are hopning for bettet weather tomorrow! Sara

On the road
I got up early on Friday morning to put the horses on the walker before I left home at eight o'clock. On the way down to Maria Gretzers place where I made the first stop I picked up my good friend Caroline who's gonna help me with the driving. At Marias place we took the horses for a walk and some grass and then they got a couple of hours rest. When we were getting ready to leave the horses were going crazy from all the mosquitos, and there were millions of them! So trying to put the bandages on Tornesch he of course managed to kick me straight in the head (but not he's fault!) It was a lot of blood but luckily it didn't look like the wound was to deep so we managed to get the horses on the lorry and of we went! Caroline did most of the driving since I was feeling a bit shaky but the trip went fine and we all arrived well at Henk Noorens place this morning! We are making a longer stop here so we are not leaving again until tomorrow morning. Nice for both us and the horses to get some time to rest. Next stop is in Bordeaux and from there we go to Gijon. Last day at home
Today was the last day at home for a while, tomorrow me and the boys (Tore & Räven) are setting of on our roadtrip to Spain. The first show is in Gijon in the north of Spain, then we move on to the Europeans in Madrid and then we finish off with the last round of the Promotional League in Barcelona. All really important shows so keep your fingers crossed for us! Today all four horses jumped clear rounds in Greavagården , good start! Sara

Getting redy for Spain
I have enjoyed some nice time at home the past weeks. I had a week off and went to see some friends in Stockholm, a lot of shopping, dinners and well needed sleep! Last week we went to Grevagården with Tore, Raven, Cisco and Uffe. Tore and Raven only jumped one class to get ready for Spain and they were first and second! Uffe and Cisco also did some really nice rounds so it was a good show for us! Today Rebecca left for Grevagården and the Champions of the youngster show. She took Olle, Dunder and Uffe with her and Turmalin is joining them there. I'm getting ready to leave for Spain, departure friday morning! It's gonna be almost a month away from home so there's a lot of packing to be done! Sara

San Patrignano part II
On friday morning it was time for the vet check, I rode Raven a bit and took the other two for a walk before it was time to trot up. Malin wasn't comming until the afternoon so we had time for a long nice lunch and then I went back to the lorry for a nap! Malin came to ride Tore and Raven at four o'clock and I took Cisco out for a lunge. The first class started at seven and Cisco jumped it with one down. Tore jumped the second class and also had one down but they both jumped good. I was finished in the stables around midnight and then it was straight to bed! On Saturday Tornesch had a day off so I rode him a bit in the morning and then took Raven and Cisco for a walk and som grass. At lunchtime all the grooms went for a short trip to the beach. It was really nice and the first (and probably last) swim in the sea for me this year! At three o'clock we were back in stables again so I took the horses for a walk before Malin came to ride. Raven jumped the big class and was doubleclear and placed seventh! Cisco also jumped clear and was placed in his class so it was a good day! Sunday is GP day but here the classes started really late even on the last day, first class at seven and the GP att half past nine. Not so nice when u have to drive all the way to Sweden afterwords! Raven had one down in his class but jumped relly good and was still placed. In the GP there was seventeen clears in the first round and Tornesch was one of them! Malin ended up sixth in the end and Tore looked super in the jump off! I left San Patrignano at two o'clock in the morning and started the long trip back to Sweden. We were back home on wednesday afternoon and both me and the horses were happy to get out of the lorry! Now we have a couple of weeks at home before it's time for the next long trip down to Spain. Sara
San Patrignano part I
I know, I know... I havn't been very good with the updates latley but I promise I will try to be better! Monday morning after Ascona I left for San Patrignano near to Rimini in Italy. It took me about seven hours to get there including doing all the paperwork at the border so it wasn't to bad. The stables in San Patrignano are fantastic and I got really good ones outside were it wasn't too warm. The whole place is really beutiful and the horses seemed very happy to be there! The only downside is that the stables are located at the top off a hill and the lorrys were parked in the bottom, and I'm not talking a small hill! Once the show started there were cars driving us up and down but the first couple of days there was nothing else to do then to walk, good excersise!. We were seven people that came straight from Ascona so it was really nice and quiet until the otherones started to arrive on thursday. Malin also came on thursday afternoon and rode all the horses a bit. The vetcheck wasn't until fridag morning so I was finished on time and went for a nice dinner and then to bed! Sara

Soon time to get on the road again
I've been home now for quite a while, much longer than I'm usually home and though it's nice to be home I can't wait to go to a show again. We did to small shows in sweden, the first, Skyrup Holliday was placed third in the 1,55 Grand Prix. This friday we jumped in Ribersborg and Hilliday won the 1,50 and Danny was third.
This weeek i've started to clip Holliday, Danny and Arctic and packed a little bit, on monday evening we're leaving for Hachenburg.

Home again
Now I'm back from my vacation, it was really nice to have a few weeks off, but I'm really glad to be back to work again. Today Peder and me was at Ulla Håkanssons place with Arctic and Sparven to train dressage. Ulla is always training her horses outside so first they were warming up in the woods around the trees and then on a big field. Since Sparven is only five years old and quite hot to ride so on her he was mostly training her to be calm and going a litte bit sideways. On Arctic he did the opposite from sparven because he is a little bit lazy so he need to traing on move his hind ligs a litte more and he even did some pirouettes and in the end he actually was looking a litte bit more like a dressage horse then before.
Peders brother Jens is here with five horses and traing so tomorrow he and Peder is jumping together.

Go Raven!!!
Raven won the big class here today, the second win in the past two shows! It was a tricky course and there were only nine clears in the first round out of 67 starters. Malin was last to go in the jump off and did another really fast round! Tomorrow Tornesch is jumping the GP so I hope that he's in the same good form! Sara
Ascona
I left Norrkoping on Monday morning with Tore, Cisco and Raven and arrived in Ascona on Wednesday evening. Ascona is in Switzerland but close to the Italian border so it was a long trip, but we arrived well and the horses didn't seem too tired! It's a really nice place with the mountains around and the weather has been really good. Nice with some sun for a change! Malin arrived Thursday evening and rode them all a bit, you can tell that they are not really used to the heat couse they were not as crazy as usual! On Friday all horses jumped clear and were palced, a good start! Sara

Vacation
Now the horses have a litte vacation after a few weeks of competition, and so do I. As much as I love my job, It's going to be really nice to have a few days off now. Falsterbo was quite good, the results was a little bit up and down, but Sibon the 7-year old was fantastic, he didn't touched a pole the whole weekend and ended up second in the final!
It's nice to be at home for show, but it is a litte bit busy, you want to be able to meet all your friends there, at the same time you have a lot of work to do, so when you go home, you're tired.
Now I'm going to pack my stuff again and head for Varberg and visit Ck and Pierre who works for Svante Johansson, the also have vacation!

Falsterbo 2011
A long week in Falsterbo is over for this year. We had a good show with the highlights being second in the nations cup where Tore jumped with four foults in the first round and clear in the second! A really good result considering he only jumped one show since he's breeding break. And it was really nice for Sweden to finish second since we'r not in the Super League this year.On Saturday Raven won the big class. Before going in Malin said it was imposible to win couse they where riding crazy fast but they did a super round and was fastest of them all! Raven was really proud of himself in the prizegiving and so was I! Undici had a little breakdown in the first qualification for the sevenyearolds and stopped at the first fence, the second day he jumped really good but it was not enough to make it to the final. On Sunday Tore jumped the GP and it was going super until somekind of missunderstanding happened at the water and he jumped straight in it, too bad couse he was jumping super otherwise. I was back at home around two o'clock in the night totally exhausted after a long week! Now I have a couple of days at home to reload before going to Ascona and San Patrignano. Sara

And it's raining...
The first half of team Baryard ( Rebecca, Challe and Turmalin) arrived at a rainy Falsterbo on Saturday afternoon. It only took a couple of hours before the stables were flooded and things were floating around, no fun alredy on the first day. Better bring my wellies! Today was the first day jumping for them and Turmalin started of really good with a clear round! Challe had two down in the end of the course but Malin was happy with her anyway. I leave early tomorrow morning so Malin can ride the three old ones down there. We decided not to bring Cisco since he's been doing quite a lot of shows recently, so it's Tore, Raven and Undici that will be joining the other ones down there. Sara

Next stop Falsterbo
Falsterbo is our next show on the schedule and it's THE show of the summer in Sweden. It's also the only time this season that Sweden can participate in the Super League so it's of course a really important show for us. Rebecca is leaving allready on Saturday with Challe since the fiveyearolds starts jumping on Monday. Turmalin is comming straight from Thomas and Helenas place and since Malin havn't ridden him for a while she thought it was a good idea to get one extra day down there. I'll be joining them on tuesday with the four old ones:, Tore, Raven, Cisco and Undici. It's a really long show so we are hoping for nice weather and the same succés as last year when Sweden won the Nations Cup and Tore was second in the GP! Today it's been really warm and sunny here, allmost to warm when you have to work all day! But I managed to clip Raven in the afternoon so now he looks top and is ready for the show! Sara

Back home!
I left a rainy Drammen already on saturday night since Malin decided not to ride on the Sunday. We had a good show despite the rain, but lets just say it wasn't one of the nicest shows I'v been to. On tuesday I loaded up the horses again and headed towards the Netherlands. I arrived at Hans Horns place wednesday afternoon and Malin came later in the evening to ride the horses. Tornesch has been staying there since Leipzig to breed so it was really nice to se him again! He looks super and seemed very happy with life and Malin was also very happy with him after riding! On thursday morning Malin rode all the horses again and after lunch we went to Geesteren only twenty minutes away! Hannah came with me to help since I had four horses with me so it went really fast to unpack the lorry and to do the vet check. On thursday Cisco jumped the first class and had one down, both Undici and Tore jumped clear and looked really nice! Raven jumped the qualifyer for the GP and jumped fantastic until he stumbled in a hole in front of the triple combination and crashed in to it, poor Raven, but at least he didn't hurt himself. On Saturday it was raining the whole day, no fun! Tore was double clear in the 145 and placed fifht, it's so nice to see him back again! Räven had the last fence down in the155, a pity couse he jumped amazing! Cisco jumped the last class of the day and had one down. He was totally crazy in the warm- up and Malin could hardly jump a fence, luckily he quiets down when he gets in the ring. We didn't ride on Sunday since Raven didn't qualify for the GP and we have Falsterbo comming up next week so I left already Sunday morning. On the way home I stopped at Thomas and Helenas place to see Tamina and Espri, they looked really happy and it was so nice to see them again! Sara

Now the firar dag at the show is over, and it has been going both good and bad. Danny jumper first 1,45 and had one down. Sinom was double clear in the youngster tour 1,35 and jumper fantastic. Arctic was jumping the qualifyer fot the Grand prix, and he didn't have his best day and endes up with four down. The weather here is very strange one minute the sun is shining the next it's raining. Now it's time for bed, the classes starts 8.30. Malin

Drammen and foals
Home again from Drammen. Drammen was not hte best show I've did, but I think the weather didnt't help either because it was raining so much. We arrived midday on wednesday, and Lisen and Peder wasn't coming until thursday so I did the vetcheck and fixed everything in the stable, walked the horses and then went to bed.
The horses was jumping great, Sibon was clear in both his classes, 1,30 and 1,40, Holliday was clear and was second in a 1,40 on friday and had the first fence down in a difficult 1,45 on saturday. Arctic was jumping 1,50 on thursday with one down and then on saturday it was time for Nations cup. Peder was second to go and he was clear! The other riders had one down each so the team had 8 faults to the second round. Peder was first to go in team Sweden and he was clear again, he jumped so good. We decided not to jump the Grand Prix on sunday so we went home saturday night, a little later then planned since the lorry was stuck in the mud in the parking lot and had to be pulled up with a tractor. Peder helped me to drive so we was home on sunday morning.
Today me and Emma went away to look at the foals, Sparvens foal who was born by embryotransfer and Peders former competing horse Baccacha. They were so cute, we could have stayed there the whole night.
Tomorrow night we are leaving för Gesteeren with Arctic, Danny and Sibon.

Rain, rain and more rain...
Today its been raining non stop the whole day, no fun at all. It's mud absolutley everywhere but luckily the stables are still dry! Hopefully it will be better by tomorrow when it's time for the nations cup. Undici jumped the first class today, a 130 and was clear! Cisco jumped the 140 in the afternoon and was also clear so it was a good day except for the weather! Now I'm on my way to the lorry for a long hot shower and then it's time for bed. First class at nine tomorrow with Undici and then nations cup debute for Raven, keep your fingers crossed! Sara

On my way to Drammen
On Sunday morning I left home with Raven, Uffe and Cisco. First stop was at Tomas Vilhelmssons place in Hammaro were Malin was gonna train with the horses. Since they havnt done that many outdoor shows this year Malin wanted to jump them a bit more before Drammen. They all jumped good but were really fresh so I think that was a good plan! Today I had them on the walker in the morning and then I lunged them a bit. Now I'm packing up the lorry and getting ready to leave to Norway, Drammen is only about three hours from here so its not a long trip this time! Unfortunatly its been raining here all morning so I hope it stoppes by the time I get there! Sara

Show at home
This weekend we are having a show at home. We gave callses from 0,90 to 1,40 and it is from friday to sunday. Tomorrow we have pay and jump så today we took out all the nice fances we only use for shows and built a course. It is really warm here and it took more than 3 hours so now I'm really tired.
I've spent last week at Strömsholm, Peders brother Jens lives and works there, and Peder was there training in the week and för competition on the weekend. I had a really nice time there, my family is living just an hour from there so they came to visit me and many of my friends were there. We only had three horses there; Sibon, Arctic and Sparven, Arctic was not competing and Sparven only juped one class so I actually didn't have a lot to do. Sibon was jumping the 7-year old classes and was jumping absolutely fantastic, he was placed 8th in the qualifyer and 2nd in the final.
Tomorrow we are going to visit Sparvens little foal, she was born by another mare by embryo transfer last week.

And its offically summer!
The past couple of days we had really nice and warm weather, very nice compared to last weeks ten degrees and rain! The best news this week is that both Tamina and Espri is in foal. Tamina with Tornesch and Espri with Turmalin so we are all very happy! Malins son Alvar also got a new pony and it's absolutly adorable! She is now nicknamed Lea after princess Lea in Star Wars..! I'll try to take some pictures of her tomorrow and put on the blog. The past two week-ends we went to the show in Aby with almost all the horses, it was both ups and downs as it is sometimes but both Turmalin and Challe is now qualifyed for Falsterbo! The next show is in Drammen in two weeks, then Räven is gonna jump his first Nations Cup, exciting! Sara

Nice to be home
I'm enjoing having some time at home for once! The weather has also been really nice the last couple of weeks, finally the summer is coming! When I came back from Leipzig I took Tamina with me in the lorry and drove down to Thomas and Helena, the owners of Tornesch. On the way down I stopped to pick up Espri, she is unfortunatley not with foal this year but she looked like she was about to have one next week! So now the to old ladies are reunited and going together in the field, we are hoping to get Tamina in foal with Tornesch and Espri with Turmalin, family buisness! Its was very sad to leave Tamina but I'm sure she's well taken care of! This week-end we have a show in Åby only twenty minutes away from home. Sara

Back home
Tornesch had one one down in both rounds of the final but jumped absolutley amazing! The second round was really really big and he just had the last fence down so we are very proud of him! After the show was finished Tore went with Jeroens lorry straight to Holland and is now gonna breed for two months. It was a bit sad not to take him home but I'm sure that he will be well taken care of at Hans Horns place where he's staying. We are not going to Mannheim anymore so now I'm gonna enjoy some time at home, unfortunatly it's only five degrees and rain today, not so nice! Sara

Drama at the vet check
In the evening it was time for a second vet check wich almost ended in disaster. Ludger lost his stallion who went straight for Rolfs horse Quintero. It looked really scary and it took a while before they could catch it but luckily no one got hurt. Tore trotted good and passed without problem, a few horses had to trot two times but they all passed in the end. Räven jumped the GP but was not jumping super and had two down. But it was no big disaster and sometimes they also have bad days. Tomorrow is the big day with the last round of the final. A lot can still happen so keep all your fingers crossed for Tore and Malin! In sixth place so far!
It was as suspected a really big course yesterday, Tornesch did a great job but unfirtunatley had one down. After the two first rounds Malin is on sixth place so things are still looking good and Tore has been jumping fantastic so far! Räven jumped the qualifyer for the GP later in the night and was clear and placed seventh! Now I'm waiting for Malin to come and ride the horses, Tore has a day off today and Räven is jumping the GP in the afternoon. Tonight it's also time for a second vetcheck for the horses that's in the final on Sunday. Sara

World Cup final in Leipzig
Yesterday it was time for the first leg of the World Cup final. Tore jumped a warm up on Wednesday where he looked good but it's always a bit nervous before the first round. It's a lot going on here as well with ponies, showhorses and horses for the national classes everywhere so it is a bit messy but Tornesch stayed focused and did a super clear round and finished tenth! In the afternoon it's time forcthe second leg wich is a jump off class, it's for sure gonna be huge so keep your fingers crossed! Sara

A week in Germany
Me and the horses had a really nice week at Ahlmanns stables in Marl. The weather has been super so Tore and Räven has been enjoing the sun out in the fields every day! They have both been behaving well and been nice to ride so I hope they are ready for Leipzig. At home Malin has been showing the other horses in Henriksdal and they have all been doing really well. Undici jumped his first 140 and was clear, this summer he is gonna come with to jump the international shows, exciting! Yesterday at lunchtime I left Marl and drove the seven hours to Leipzig, the trip went well and there was hardly any traffic since it's Easter holidays. This morning I took them both for a lunge and then Malin is comming to ride them in the afternoon. Now it's time for some lunch for both me and the horses and the it's vetcheck for the worldcup horses. Sara

Paris!
What a weekend we had in Paris, the highlight of course was Tornesch that ended up being third in the Grand Prix! But lets start from the beginning. On the way down to Paris I teamed up with my good friend Emma for the last bit. Lunchtime on thursday we loaded Tore, Räven and Christians two horses Taloubet and Sebastian and headed for the french capital. The trip went well but I have to say it was a little bit sweaty driving a twelve meters lorry down the Champs Elysees! The stables were located in a small parc and was really nice and we could actually see the Eiffel tour from there! On friday morning I first did vet check and then Malin came to ride both the horses. In the aftetnoon it was time for the first class where both horses had one down. On saturday Tornesch jumped the first class and was placed sixth! Räven jumped the second class that was a team competition so Malin road together with Roffe. Räven jumped brilliant in the first round and was really fast so going in to the second round they were in the lead. Unfortunatly Räven had one down and they ended up fifht. And then on Sunday Tornesch was third in the GP and jumped amazing! Christian Ahlmann won with Taloubet so we were two happy grooms that loaded our superstars and returned back to Germany! Sara
